10 New Essential TV Shows To Watch This November

From Rachel Sennott's brand new series 'I Love LA' to second seasons of 'The Vince Staples Show' and 'Landman', November’s calendar is stacked with series you need to see.

Have you started your Christmas shopping yet?

Somehow, it’s almost that time. Alarming, yes, but also true. We’ve reached the second last month of the year, and truly we all deserve a solid gold medal. It’s been A LOT. And you know what else we deserve? Some good old-fashioned escapism.

This month, you can find it in the second season of satirical comedy series The Vince Staples Show, Claire Danes’ latest thriller The Beast in Me, Rachel Sennott’s new comedy I Love LA, Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan’s sci-fi drama, Pluribus, and many more.

1. All’s Fair

Where can I watch it? On Disney+

Rivalling Big Little Lies for all-time most star-studded cast, this new legal drama stars Kim Kardashian, Naomi Watts, Niecy Nash, Teyana Taylor, Sarah Paulson and Glenn Close. Dubbed “the all-female Suits”, the ten-ep series follows a ladies-only law firm that specialises in messy divorces, of which a few of the leading ladies may know a thing or two about. Between the outfits, makeup and savage retorts, All’s Fair is Evan Ross Katz’ dream content creator, and likely your favourite new guilty pleasure.

2. The Beast in Me

Where can I watch it? On Netflix

There are fake monsters that come out from under your bed when it’s dark, and then there are real beasts that awaken when you find yourself next door to a bad neighbour. In The X-Files’ creator Gave Rotter’s new mystery thriller series, The Beast in Me, Claire Danes plays Aggie, an author grieving the loss of her son, who does some digging on her new neighbour Nile (Matthew Rhys) only to make a grisly discovery. Investigator Google serves up receipts detailing his role as the prime suspect in his wife’s mysterious disappearance, and Aggie becomes consumed with discovering the truth.

3. Dear X

Where can I watch it? On Netflix

Written by Choi Ja-won and based on the popular South Korean webtoon of the same name, Dear X is a darkly intense series steeped in suspense. Dubbed a ‘melo-thriller’, it tells the story of Baek Ah Jin (played by Kim Yoo Jung), a famous actress who rises to success leaving a trail of manipulated lovers in her wake. So far she’s managed to hide her true sociopathic nature behind her perfectly made-up mask, but can she hide it forever? You’ve got 12 episodes to find out.

4. I Love LA

Where can I watch it? Sky Comedy

From the mind of Shiva Baby and Bottoms star Rachel Sennott comes her new outrageous comedy series, I Love LA. Like, so much. The cast announcement should be celebration enough, with Odessa A’zion, Jordan Firstman, True Whitaker, and Josh Hutcherson joining Sennott as a codependent friend group who reunite in Los Angeles. Has time changed them? Or is that just the filler? This is the level of sass and satire you can expect over eight episodes of laughter, tears, and plenty of Erewhon smoothies.

5. Landman Season 2

Where can I watch it? On Paramount+

Starring Billy Bob Thornton as Tommy Norris, a landman working for an independent oil rig in West Texas, this black-gold-based series is back for a second season. Created by Taylor Sheridan (Yellowstone) and based on the hit podcast Boomtown, the series explores the US oil boom reshaping the climate and economy, while profiling the big personalities behind it – including Sam Elliot, who joins the cast this season as Billy Bob’s dad.

6. Malice

Where can I watch it? On Prime

If you miss the salacious sagas that accompany a White Lotus episode, Malice might just be your (plane) ticket. Comedian and actor Jack Whitehall plays Adam Healey (not to be confused with Matty, the smallest man who ever lived), a “manny” who infiltrates the uber-rich Tanner family with the intent to destroy them. Giving strong sweet on the outside, vicious on the inside vibes, Healey is joined by David Duchovny, Carice van Houten and Harry Gilby in this six-part thriller shrouded in dark family secrets.

7. The Manipulated

Where can I watch it? On Disney+

Revenge is best served psychotically by Ji Chang-wook, who returns to our screens in the new South Korean crime thriller, The Manipulated. Over twelve action packed episodes, follow Tae-Joong (played by Ji Chang-wook) a hardworking delivery guy whose life gets turned upside down by a false accusation that lands him behind bars. Inside, he stews over his injustice, plotting to exact endless revenge on those who wronged him. But was he just in the wrong place at the wrong time, or was his downfall planned from the beginning? Buckle up.

8. Pluribus

Where can I watch it? On Apple TV+

What do you do after creating one of the most revered series of all time?

You make an award-winning spin-off. And when that ends? You drop your new sci-fi series, Pluribus. One can only imagine the level of pressure Vince Gilligan, creator of Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, feels about the release of his new series, but it must be spectacular because it was greenlit for a second series before a single episode has aired. Once again set in Albuquerque, New Mexico, it follows Carol Sturka, an author who happens to be immune to a virus that turns everyone else blindly optimistic. Terrifying.

9. Stranger Things Season 5, Volume 1

Where can I watch it? On Netflix

If it feels like you’ve grown up with the kids of Stranger Things, it’s because you have. When we first met Eleven, she was twelve. Now she’s a new mum and married to Jon Bon Jovi’s son. Guess time flies when you’re in the Upside Down. After almost a decade of sci-fi horror nostalgia, Stranger Things is ending, but hopefully the world doesn’t end with it. The final season will be split into two volumes, culminating in a single final episode dropping on December 31.

10. The Vince Staples Show Season 2

Where can I watch it? On Netflix

Ever wondered what the life of rapper Vince Staples is really like? The Vince Staples Show lifts the curtain on all things Vince, who plays a fictitious version of himself navigating the dramas of dating, generational trauma, and working in the wild west (aka the music industry). Set in Long Beach, CA, season 2 of the satirical comedy series is set to follow Vince’s wild journey in search of inner peace after a tragic death. Joining him is Vanessa Bell Calloway and Naté Jones as recurring guest stars in this equally funny as it is thought-provoking series.
